ASR Remediation

If you’ve noticed cracking, surface deterioration, or a chalky residue on your pool’s shell, your pool may be showing signs of Alkali-Silica Reaction — commonly known as ASR.

What is ASR?

ASR is a chemical reaction that can occur within the concrete structure of a pool over time. When certain minerals in the aggregate react with alkaline compounds in the cement, it causes the concrete to expand from within — resulting in cracking, spalling, and surface damage that worsens if left untreated.
